Correspondence Courses

At Bagdad High School, we strive to offer courses that meet the requirements for a post secondary education. Due to our small size, we may not have a teacher certified in some areas of interest. At these times, if funds are available, we turn to distance learning to fill the need.

Distance Learning courses will be from accredited, qualified institutions of learning and we will treat their credits as normal classes. Failure will affect GPA and class rank as well as eligibility. We will place each student on a timeline to complete the desired course and its assignments periodically. We will require students and their parents to sign an addendum contract  representing an understanding of these criteria and timeline requirements.

Participating in this program becomes a special situation where the student needs to exhibit the maturity and responsibility to follow the program through to completion. Bagdad High School will pay for courses and materials when these special cases occur. However, should a student fail the course or decide not to finish it, parents will be financially responsible for the course.
